This weekend we celebrate baptism

This weekend when we gather to worship, we'll praise God for who he is and how he claims us as his children.  Join us as we walk with those who are taking this important milestone of baptism in their faith journey this weekend!

You can quiz Pastor Henry this weekend
If you’re new here, you may wonder how best to get connected. We have a simple first step, called Pizza with the Pastor. This one-hour lunch with Pastor Henry will allow you to ask any questions about Five Oaks and get you started connecting with others. FREE childcare and a FREE pizza and salad lunch.  Sunday, November 11, after the second service. Walk-ups are welcome!

Annual Congregational Meeting this Sunday
At our annual congregational meeting on November 11 at 4 pm, you can expect worship, vision casting from Pastor Henry and ministry leaders, followed by the budget and elections. Fellowship and heavy appetizers will follow the meeting. Last year’s meeting minutes, this year’s nominee profiles, and the 2017 audit report are available for your review at the Welcome Center. Child care available for kids ages birth - fifth grade.

Only 19 miles to China?
Ever wondered how in the world you can impact China? It’s so far away and so closed to the gospel -- or is it? We can put China within your reach. We are again partnering with the Hospitality Center for Chinese (just 19 miles from Five Oaks) to serve the Friendship Meal on November 17, and also to host Chinese students and their families for Thanksgiving. Interested in either opportunity? Email impact@fiveoakschurch.org.

Thank you from the Union Gospel Mission!
With your help, Five Oakers filled about 300 Thanksgiving bags with staples for a well-rounded Thanksgiving meal. Your generosity will help 300 of our neighbors in the Twin Cities have a more enjoyable Thanksgiving! Thank you for your generosity!

Pre-teens know how to party
Fifth graders are at a very social age. We have events in Five Oaks Kids planned JUST for fifth graders and their friends, in hopes of getting kids excited to join Five Oaks Students next fall.  These events are great invite opportunities for school and neighborhood friends! If you’d like more info or to help plan, please write “5th grade” on your communication card. Or, you may email Kelly Bauman at kbauman@fiveoakschurch.org.

Grab your small group — ’tis the season…
This is an easy serve opportunity that will feel more like fellowship and Christmas fun.  Join us November 25 after the second service as we decorate the Christmas trees in the Worship Center and the Commons.  A great serving opportunity for small groups! We’ll have snacks to keep the fun moving! To RSVP, please email Harold Ennulat, hennulat@fiveoakschurch.org

Will your grandchildren visit you over the holidays?
Hey grandparents! If you plan to bring grandkids or other young visitors to Five Oaks during their visit, you can help us make their visit easier by pre-registering your grandkids in our system well ahead of their arrival. Please stop by the Welcome Center anytime to get them pre-registered. It will only take a few minutes now and will help speed up your arrival during their visit!

Worship night postponed until January
Our worship team is committed to creating worship gatherings that deepen your faith and encourage you to bring the light of Jesus wherever we go. Knowing that the pace of life pulls us all in many directions, we’ve decided to postpone the Five Oaks Worship Night to January. We look forward to prayerfully preparing for a rich night of worship with you after the New Year. Stay tuned for more details!
