WE’re celebrating faith milestones this weekend
Our worship service will look and feel a little different this weekend. You may notice we have more visitors and more elementary-aged kids present in worship. This is because we’re celebrating the important faith milestones of family dedications and baptisms this weekend. We love to watch God work in the hearts of our Five Oakers who are ready to publicly proclaim their salvation in Jesus by being baptized. We also love to watch our church grow as our families grow, and we are honored to join with families in dedicating babies and children to our local church and to Christ’s church. Join us as we promise to come alongside these families in these important faith milestones. We praise God for the seeds he sows in our church family!
Whaddya doing on November 1?
We’ve got two great ways to jump in and make a difference on November 1!
1. Feed My Starving Children (Eagan): Bring your neighbors and help pack meals for kids around
the world. Details and registration here.
2. Dorothy Day Center (St. Paul): Join us to prepare and serve a meal to our hungry neighbors right here at home. Email Tim Wyant for all the details and to reserve your spot on the team.
Drive Season: Here’s the line-up
Drive Season gives us the chance to bless local partners and neighbors in need. Check out the list below for our remaining collection dates and ministry partners so you can plan, pray, and participate with your family or small group. For more details, please visit the ministry cart in the commons between services this weekend.
Through Nov. 12: UGM Thanksgiving bags. Help fill a grocery bag or two with the staples for a hearty Thanksgiving meal to benefit our hungry neighbors in St. Paul.
Nov. 29-Dec. 14: KHUSA Giving Tree. Help bless families from Woodbury Elementary with gifts to round out Christmas.
Dec. 7-28: Shoe Away Hunger. Donate gently used shoes to help provide groceries for neighbors in need. Questions? Email Dave Baar, impact@fiveoakschurch.org.
Use your medical skills to serve neighbors in need
Are you a social worker, dentist, physician, nurse, or other health care professional with a desire to help the needy? Are you an organizer or leader with a passion to help the needy? If so, you can take a tour of the Compassion Roseville Clinic to see how this is being done and what might be accomplished in our neighborhood! Tours available Saturday, November 8, at 11 am and 2 pm. Location: Roseville Area Middle School. Check here for more details Contact Kevin Johnson if you are interested in helping to mobilize Five Oakers to serve in this powerful way. (651-341-8022 or kevin.ti.johnson@gmail.com)
Stop by Serve Central this weekend
Serving shouldn’t feel like just filling a gap—it should be a chance to use your gifts and passions in ways that bring you joy. That’s why we’ve created Serve Central, a one-stop spot in the Commons to help you discover where you fit best. Stop by the booth between services to explore opportunities and find a serving role that’s a natural fit.
Join us to pray for our Impact partners this weekend
Prayer changes things—and it’s one of the best ways we can support our Impact partners. Join us this Sunday at 10:15 am in Room 102 as we lift up their specific needs and ask God to move in powerful ways through their ministries.
Got an itch to deck the halls? Mark your calendar
If you have a keen eye for decorating, a love for all things Christmas, or just like lifting heavy things, please join our decor team to make our plans a reality as we transform Five Oaks to be Christmas-ready! We’ll meet November 22, 9 am-noon at Five Oaks. We need your help to bring trees and boxes down from storage, set up all those beautiful trees, and make our building festive and ready for the Advent season. Coffee and lunch are provided. Sign up here.
Deepen: A high school winter retreat
Life is loud, and it’s easy for students to get distracted. Deepen, January 16-18, 2026, is a weekend retreat where high schoolers can step away from the noise, dive into God’s Word, and learn rhythms that build a lasting faith. With teaching, spiritual practices, camp activities, and Five Oaks leaders guiding the way, this isn’t just a getaway—it’s a foundation for walking with Jesus. Details and registration at
www.fiveoaks.church/students. Questions? Email Brooke Ramsey, bramsey@fiveoakschurch.org.
Save the date: Congregational Meeting on November 16
Mark your calendar now to join us on Sunday, November 16, at 4 pm for our annual congregational meeting. We’ll have a short business meeting followed by a time of fellowship and food. Child care will be provided. More details to follow.
