What happens when you hold on to your faith but quietly blend in with the culture around you? In Revelation 2:12-17, Jesus writes to the church in Pergamum, a city full of pagan temples where your job, your friendships, and even your next meal could depend on offering a sacrifice to the gods. The believers there had not given up their faith, even after one of their own was put to death. But some were giving in, joining the temple feasts because everybody went. This message shows why giving in is as bad as giving up, and how to resist: stop patting yourself on the back, stop minimizing the danger of compromise, and go for the better prize Jesus promises.
