Weekend of February 4+5

NLFS Diaper Drive: Let's bless those moms

New Life Family Services offers several programs to support healthy pregnancy, adoption facilitation, and post-abortion spiritual healing. Join us in supporting this ministry partnership with Five Oaks by dropping off a package of diapers, sizes newborn to 5, at the Ministry Cart now through February 19. For more info or with questions, please email impact@fiveoakschurch.org.

Did you sign the journal for Dan?
Last weekend we gathered to celebrate and send Daniel Lukas, our creative director who is leaving to plant a church in St. Paul. If you missed the party but would like to leave him a note, a prayer, a memory, or a laugh, please stop by the Information Center this weekend to sign the journal for him.

FUN Team meets this weekend
It's time to start planning this year's FUN Team events! Think Game Cafe, Fall Fun Fest, Food Trucks & more! Should we do a dunk tank for Pastor Henry? Family olympics? Maybe an all-church Paint Ball game? Whatever we decide, we need your help to plan and execute the fun. Come to the FUN Team meeting on Sunday, February 5, 10:15-11am in Room 105 to start planning our March Game Cafe, and brainstorm about the year.

Are you new to Five Oaks? Join our Discovery Seminar February 12
We’re all pretty good at self-sabotage. It’s no different when it comes to our own spiritual growth. That’s why we have the Discovery Seminar. We look at three dumb things smart people do to sabotage their own spiritual growth, and what you can do instead. We offer it every month because it’s part of offering a clear pathway to connecting, growing, and making a difference with us—10-Minute Connect, Discovery, and Story of God. The second half of the Discovery Seminar is an opportunity for you to ask questions about Five Oaks. This is for new folks like you. Our next class is February 12, 11 am - 12:15 pm, room 101.  To RSVP, please email Pam Hawley, phawley@fiveoakschurch.org.

KHUSA: Making a difference in Woodbury
Five Oaks is committed to changing lives in by partnering with Woodbury Elementary to assist with meeting emotional, social and academic needs of students. Your commitment as a volunteer? One child -- one hour per week. Please consider volunteering. Children at Woodbury Elementary are waiting for mentors. For more information, please write ‘KHUSA’ and your email on your Communication Card or stop by the Ministry Cart in the Commons this weekend after services. You also may email KHUSA@fiveoakschurch.org.

Drive-in movie night for the pre-K/K class
Hey kids...if you are in the pre-K/K class, join us here at Five Oaks on February 10 from 6-7:30 for a “Drive-in Movie Night.” Come decorate your own cardboard car, enjoy snacks, juice, and some Disney Pixar short movies! Please RSVP to Rhiannon at rrutledge@fiveoakschurch.org, or write “Drive-in Movie” and your email on your Communication Card.

Small groups: are you registered?
Joining a small group is one way to model to family and friends that knowing God and being in community are a high priority.  Most people who participate in a small group find that their small group becomes their church family.  Visit the Small Groups Ministry Cart to find a group that fits your schedule and life stage, or write “Small Groups” and your email on your Communication Card. Now is the time to register for our spring session.

Students: Join us on Wednesdays

Students will have time to hang out, worship, hear a message, then spend time in discussion groups. Come check out what Wednesday night is all about! Questions? Please email students@fiveoakschurch.org.
