World-class leadership training right here in Woodbury
Are you a leader in your workplace, your home, your neighborhood, or in our church? If so, you won't want to miss the Global Leadership Summit, August 10 & 11, at Eagle Brook Church, Woodbury Campus. GLS is an opportunity to learn from some of the best in today's leadership roles: pastors, authors, professors, CEOs, etc. The ideas gleaned here will make you a better leader at home, at work, and in your community.
This year Five Oaks will partner with Eagle Brook Church, Woodbury Campus, for GLS. We are not hosting, but instead we will attend at Eagle Brook. As partners and attenders of Five Oaks Church, we receive the special rate of $99 until June 26, when it increases to $129. Click here to register. You’ll need a promo code at registration to secure our special group rate. You can find that code at the Ministry Cart this weekend, or you may request it by emailing Deb Johnson, firstname.lastname@example.org.

Are you new to Five Oaks? Join our Discovery Seminar June 11
We’re all pretty good at self-sabotage. It’s no different when it comes to our own spiritual growth. That’s why we have the Discovery Seminar. We look at three dumb things smart people do to sabotage their own spiritual growth, and what you can do instead. We offer it every month because it’s part of offering a clear pathway to connecting, growing, and making a difference with us—10-Minute Connect, Discovery, and Story of God. The second half of the Discovery Seminar is an opportunity for you to ask questions about Five Oaks. This is for new folks like you. Our next class is June 11, 11 am - 12:15 pm, room 101. To RSVP, please email Martha Young, email@example.com.
Membership class June 11
Membership is important at Five Oaks. It’s a way of saying, “I want to be part of the mission of this local church.” If you have a personal relationship with Christ and have completed Story of God (the class or in your small group), make plans to come to the next membership class onJune 11, 9:15-10:30 am, in room 105. Please RSVP by writing ‘membership’ and your email address on your Communication Card, or email Pam Hawley at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join us for prayer on June 11
Please consider praying with us for our Five Oaks-sponsored missionary families on June 11 at 10:15 in room 102. We will pray for their ministries, the people with whom they serve and whom they serve, and for our missionaries’ health and families, among other things. This is a great way for us to serve our mission field, in many cases several countries away, right here at home. Refreshments will be served.

FamilyMeans Caregiver Support Program looking for volunteer help
Do you have 4-8 hours a month to offer relief to a caregiver? Those who provide continual care for a loved one occasionally need a break but cannot leave their loved one home alone. Volunteers are needed to step in for companionship and supervision — not for medical cares of any kind. This role involves talking with the patient, watching TV with them, playing cards or doing a puzzle with them, looking at photos with them, tinkering in the garage with them, going for a ride with them, etc. Help is needed in the following cities at this time: Cottage Grove, Woodbury, Oakdale, Stillwater, Oak Park Heights, Marine on St. Croix, and Forest Lake. Day, evening, weekend hours needed for children, adults and seniors. For more info, please contact Dianne Vierling, firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 651-789-4055.
