kids & families: let’s go!
A new ministry year is here, and we can’t wait to walk alongside your family! Each weekend, we’ve got full kids programming during every service—Saturdays and Sundays—so your kids can grow in faith and friendships while you worship. This weekend, all kids move up to their next grade level classroom.
Students (grades 6–12) launch their new year on Wednesday, September 17. 6-8 pm for middle schoolers, and 7-9 pm for high schoolers.
And parents—save the date! On Monday, October 6, we’ll host our next free Parenting Event. Registration opens soon, and we’d love for you to be part of it.
A new season. A bigger story. Your place in It.
Fall brings fresh rhythms—and the perfect chance to build deeper connections. Whether you’re looking for meaningful friendships, spiritual growth, or both, we’ve got a place for you.

DivorceCare: Help when you need it most
DivorceCare is a safe place where caring people come alongside you as you find healing from the pain of separation or divorce. In this 13-week Christ-centered support group program, you’ll find helpful counsel to manage the emotional turmoil and practical tools for decision-making. The group meets at Five Oaks Church at 7 pm on Monday evenings, starting September 15. Interested? FInd a group and register here.
Calling all the word nerds
Our church has an email devotional called DailyLIfe, written and edited entirely by volunteers. We currently have openings on our editing team! If you love to edit and want to help shepherd our readership in their walk with Jesus, please email Peg Benson, pbenson@fiveoakschurch.org. This is a great way to serve from home, the cabin, or even a snowbird destination.
Interested in Family Dedication, Baptism, or Communion?
Are you the parent of a young child and interested in participating in Family Dedication? Or are you the parent of a child or student who has questions about baptism? Join us on September 28 at 9 am for our Dedication Class for parents and at 10:45 am for our Baptism and Communion Class for kids, students, and parents. Our next Faith Milestone Celebration, which include Dedications and Baptisms, will be the weekend of October 25/26. Email Kelly Bauman, kbauman@fiveoakschurch.org.
Beat the Sunday rush. Come on Saturday!
Help us make more room on Sunday mornings by worshipping with us on Saturdays! This fall, we’re offering even more reasons to make Saturday church your new normal with some easy events and hangouts after the 5:30 service. You'll get more info on your chair during worship this weekend. Questions? Email Laura-Paige Albert, lpalbert@fiveoakschurch.org.
Thank you to our summer IMPACT interns!
It’s been a full summer for Noah Larson, Isaac Lee, & Elisha Redmann! They interned with Dave Baar & Laura-Paige Albert with our Impact ministry, and we could not be more proud of these three students. God used them mightily for his Kingdom this summer. They were stretched and open to the many facets of how missions can look. From discussions with our missionary partners, a mission trip to Slovakia with our church family, completely running our "Undie Sunday" drive from their promo video to the delivery of donated socks and undies, plus projects onsite at Five Oaks, we have all been blessed by their time and talent. God is so good! Thanks for praying with us for these young men this summer!
Have you been impacted by sexual betrayal?
Whether you’ve experienced sexual brokenness in your life, either as the betrayer or the betrayed, it can feel like a lonely path to recovery. Five Oaks has several classes available starting in September to help the betrayed, the betrayer, and the family members or concerned bystanders. More info on these classes can be found here. Want to talk to someone? Email puredesiremen@fiveoakschurch.org or puredesirewomen@fiveoakschurch.org to get started.
200 Bibles provided!
Five Oaker Victor Ezigbo leads the Center for Research on Global Christianity (CRGC) in Nigeria. Last month, his organization hosted its biennial pastors’ conference, with the goal of providing a space for worship, connection, and encouragement to these pastors. This no-cost-to-them conference included transportation and a study Bible to take home. They We planned for 250, and over 300 showed up. 200 Bibles were distributed. Please pray for the attendees, as they face isolation and limited access to resources. Questions about this impact partner? Email Dave Baar, impact@fiveoakschurch.org.
