save the date for summer baptisms!
If you’ve been around our church for more than a minute, you know that we love to celebrate baptisms. Our annual outdoor summer baptism service will be August 16, 10 am, on the island at the University of Northwestern. We’ll listen to the amazing faith stories from those being baptized and sing some worship music together to celebrate. After baptisms, we invite you to stay for treats, lemonade, and some swim time. Plese register for all who plan to attend so we can plan well for refreshments. All details and registration are available here. Please note: Our baptism service is the only worship service we will have the weekend of August 15+16.
Make an impact from St. Paul to Haiti
You can help kids in our community and in Haiti to start the new school year well by providing them with the supplies they need. During the entire month of July, we’re hosting an online drive partnering with Hope for the Brave and GVCM. Hope for the Brave is collecting backpacks to distribute to kids in need in St. Paul. GVCM is collecting funds to provide 200 students with essential school supplies, shoes, and uniforms made by women in Haiti. To participate in the Hope for the Brave Backpack Drive, click here. Pray for our team in Slovakia
Sixteen Five Oakers and Oakers are currently in Slovakia working with Josiah Venture and a local church in Slovakia to organize an evangelistic youth camp where they are using sports, music, and teaching conversational English as avenues to open the door to gospel conversations. Please keep the team in your prayers in the week ahead - pray that the Slovakian students coming to the camp will hear and experience the gospel, and their lives will be transformed.
Please pray for our high schoolers at Wood Lake Camp
Our high schoolers are headed to Wood Lake Camp this weekend for an impactful week of connection with God and others, July 12-17. We’re looking forward to hearing about all the ways they not only made amazing memories but also grew in their faith and strengthened existing friendships or began new ones. Please pray for our students and their cabin leaders, that this week would make a lasting impact on their spiritual journey.
Help Young Adults find their place
Do you have a heart for young adults and love bringing people together? We’re looking for a fun, energetic co-leader to join our adult leadership team of our 18-24 year-old young adults this September! You won’t be flying solo—you’ll learn the ropes alongside leaders who’ve been there. No experience required, just passion and a willingness to show up. Make plans now to bring clean water to Belize
We’re already planning a short-term mission trip for January 9–15, 2027, with Filter of Hope in Belize. Together, we’ll visit families, provide life-changing water filters, and share the hope we’ve found in Jesus. We’re announcing it early so you have plenty of time to pray, plan, and consider whether God might be inviting you to be part of this team.
